Safety is a strong focus area for Maersk LNG and we do our utmost to ensure that safety is always the top consideration in our activities. A dedicated HSEQ team oversees the HSEQ system to ensure that adequate training and monitoring of the safety aspects of a vessel is provided. Maersk LNG is proud to have achieved zero Lost Time Accidents (LTA) for our LNG vessels for the years 2008 and to date 2009, which reflects our attention to the safe operations of our LNG vessels.

Our crew is our most direct representation of how we carry out our business. Maersk LNG believes strongly in the training and development of our crew so that they are aligned with the company’s philosophy of reliable operations coupled with a strong focus on safety. Through own training academy, Maersk LNG inculcates these values into our crew right from the time they are recruited. This enables us to create a strong performance culture onboard our vessels based on operational safety and transparency.
QUALITY THROUGH INNOVATION
In co-operation with the dedicated technological entity, Maersk Maritime Technology, Maersk LNG has the resources to constantly seek innovation to improve the performances of our vessels from a cost, safety and environmental perspective. Our recent initiative includes the installation of a water gas cooler on our DFDE (Dual Fuel Diesel Electric) vessels, which helps to reduce the boil off of our customers’ cargo and also lower carbon emissions.
